For years I’ve been the one on Disney trips without the cute Disney duds. While the rest of the group wears their best licensed, mousey attire, I’ve typically been stuck with my everyday wear, lamenting the fact that I can find nothing in my size.

I’m the big girl. I’m the one fishing around at the back of the rack hoping to score anything with more than two Xs in front of it. This is definitely why I’ve accumulated an impressive collection of Disney accessories, as I can still fit into a cute necklace or brooch.

If you’re like me, you might be tired of wearing the dowdy robe, while everyone else steps out of their hotel rooms like Cinderella.

In looking for a little bibbidi-bobbidi-boo for my own wardrobe, I’ve come up with some suggestions…

First, stores at the Disney parks typically carry sizes up to 3XL, but even those may be hard to find and are not available in all styles.

The best place to get cute tops, if you’re a bit ‘larger than life’, is The Disney Store online. Simply go here and type “plus size” in the search tool: http://www.disneystore.com/

T-shirts are available for both men and women, and are available in sizes up to 4XL. Inventory changes, so make sure and check back periodically.

You can often find me wearing a top I’ve purchased online at the parks.

I’ve just made my first purchase from Torrid, which is another online shop that sells plus sizes up to 5 for women. Here is their link: http://www.torrid.com/

They actually have a Disney tab at the top of their page. Lots to choose from, with a definitely younger feel.

Finally, if you have a Star Wars or Marvel lover in your family, then Think Geek has got you covered. I purchased Star Wars items for both me and my husband recently, and love them. So fun to find options for us fluffier folk!

Go here and type ‘plus size’ in the search tool: http://www.thinkgeek.com/

Women’s t-shirts are available up to size 5. Men’s shirts can be found without the plus size search option, and come in sizes up to 3XL.
